Together with Verny retail chain, we completed the merger of two mobile applications. Previously, the brand had separate solutions for delivery and loyalty programs – the latter also developed by Digital Lab Studio some time ago. Customers now have a unified Verny Loyalty Program app, allowing them to order groceries for home or office delivery while earning and redeeming points. The app is available on Google Play and App Store.

Verny is a nationwide retail chain operating in 4 federal districts: Central, Northwestern, Volga, and Ural. With over 1,100 stores under the Verny brand, the chain employs more than 13,000 people.

While maintaining the loyalty app, Verny approached Digital Lab to revamp their delivery app – requiring modern UI development, new feature implementation, and loyalty program integration.

A key challenge emerged: the legacy Verny.Delivery app used cross-platform technology, creating compatibility constraints with the native Verny.Loyalty application.

After analysis, we opted to merge the delivery functionality into the loyalty framework rather than build a standalone app. We developed an integrated module – a fully functional app seamlessly embedded within the existing loyalty ecosystem.

  • The app now provides access to the complete product catalog for delivery. 
  • A standout feature is combo orders: curated product bundles at special prices that add multiple items to the cart with one tap. 
  • We streamlined user flows while maintaining functionality, such as address selection via map, manual entry, or relevant suggestions.
  • ТProduct discovery combines catalog navigation with search functionality, enhanced by advanced sorting and filtering options.
  • Payment integration includes Sberbank's 3D Secure technology with card autofill capabilities.
  • An in-app support chat handles order inquiries and collects customer feedback.
  • Order details permanently store digital receipts for all deliveries.
  • The integration enables promo code redemption and the spending of loyalty points accumulated from previous delivery orders.
  • Real-time order tracking includes notifications and in-app replacement for out-of-stock products without the need to contact support.

Future development plans include personalized product recommendations based on purchase history and user preferences.
