Five Lakes AR App Development

Together with Five Lakes, we created the first AR fishing app that transforms any space into a lake and your smartphone into a fishing rod. This became especially relevant during travel restrictions when outdoor activities were limited.

The app is rooted in the brand's Siberian origin story – legendary pure lakes whose ‘living water’ inspired us to ‘animate’ reality. With one tap, users are transported into the brand world.

Objectives included promoting the Organic filtered product through engaging gameplay, with an iPhone 11 Pro as the grand prize, while educating customers about the new SKU: Siberian water, ‘Alpha’ wheat alcohol, and organic flax filtration.

After registration, the user selects a character and goes fishing on one of five unique lakes. Initially, only one lake is available; as the user progresses, others are unlocked along with fishing rod upgrades. Points are earned by catching fish, with different species awarding varying points. Players can enjoy casual fishing or compete for brand merchandise, with the iPhone 11 Pro as the grand prize. A leaderboard tracks personal progress and compares results with other players. Participation requires age verification for 18 and older. All assets feature hand-drawn realism. The 3D bottle replica accurately simulates glass refraction and light reflection. Built on the Unity engine, it is available for iOS and Android devices.
